Organizations
An organization is the top-level entity in Shopp OMS. All stores, products, orders, locations, and users belong to an organization. You can belong to multiple organizations and switch between them at any time.
Organization Selector
The organization selector is located at the top of the sidebar. It displays the current organization’s legal name. Click it to open a dropdown listing all organizations you belong to.
Selecting a different organization switches your context. The page reloads and all data (orders, stores, products, etc.) reflects the newly selected organization.
Creating an Organization
When you first sign up and have no organizations, you are automatically prompted to create one. This is a required step before you can use Shopp OMS.
Organization Fields

| Legal Name | Yes | Your business’s legal name (2–50 characters) |
| Country | Yes | Country of the business (2-letter code) |
| Base Currency | Yes | The primary currency for your organization (e.g., USD, KRW, CNY). Cannot be changed after creation. |
| ID Number | No | Tax or business ID number (max 50 characters) |
| Localized Legal Name | No | Organization name in a local language (max 50 characters) |
After creating your organization, you will be prompted to select a subscription plan before proceeding.
Switching Organizations
If you belong to multiple organizations:
- Click the organization selector at the top of the sidebar
- Select the organization you want to switch to
- The page reloads with data from the selected organization
Your selected organization is saved and persists between sessions.
